Lámud is a district of the Province of Luya in the Amazon Region, it is a very quiet place that is home to about 2500 inhabitants. It is located at 2314 m.s.n.m and 37km outside of Chachapoyas, which is the capital of the Amazon Region.
Lamud has very peaceful streets and within this beautiful town we find very interesting places to visit, some of which include Christ the Redeemer, the Church Matriz where you will find the Lord Gualamita who is the Patron Saint of the Amazon Region.
Lámud also has a natural viewpoint that is the Lámud - Urco hill, from where you can enjoy panoramic view of the town. Come and visit this beautiful, safe and friendly place with different customs that are exhibited in our various annual celebrations.
